Does anyone know the name of the artist or the painting of what i am about to describe: it is my favorite painting, and i can't find it on my harddrive.
It is of a young man and a young woman, dressed in older clothes, like 1700s to 1800s clothes i think.
both are sitting by a stream. The young woman is holding a book. The young man is sitting crosslegged on her right side (on the left of the painting) and is leaning down and turning his neck in such a way as to get a book's perspective on the woman's face. He is watching her reaction to what she is reading with great interest.
Can anyone help?
