okay. here's the idea. we write a story together, and our individual contributions use a character from one of the books online here at the Lit Network. under the characters name we hyperlink to the online text she or he was found in. it could be an interesting way to introduce each other to characters we haven't read yet.

i'll start:


Early this morning I decided to get a head-start on my holiday gifts. i pulled out two pillowcases and metallic thread from my sewing bag and started to embroider flowers for my brother and his wife. "Stop, stop!" The Patchwork Girl's (http://www.online-literature.com/baum/patchwork-girl-of-oz/) screams split the air. "Why are you using my spare arms as a pocketbook?"
