George ELIOT in this novel try to show us the graet britain as she saw it harsh and cruel,Maggie is a sort faithful person as when she had cat her hair in order to like the other persons; Maggie suffering is also George ELOIT own suffering. This novel also shows us the convention codes in relationship with others,for example, Maggie does not want to make love whith philip.Finlly, I think that this novel a good one to be read.
