Also another interesting point which is just like the US is just like how Machiavelli relates about placing Diorgo in place to place the principality back into order with his heavy hand toput them into place. This way, upon return the ruler would be loved and Dirgo despied. Therfore to increase his favor amongst the townsmen he slices Dirgo in half and they are all happy and rejoice.
This is much like what the US has done with Osama and Saddam we have trained them, taught them all they know then put them into power knwoing the cruel things they would do only to in the end pretty much try to kill them and rejoice over it!
...How sad!

If you read the prince and do not think that this was an important part of today's political thinking you are crazy. It does not matter what form of gov't you look at. In the U.S. the decisions are voiced by the people. However, the president is just like the "Prince". When we he elect him we elect that person on false promises. Examples are lower taxes, help with medicaid and medicare. This is what the prince does he looks for ways to keep people together and believe that the system is working. Isn't that what deception the "Prince" meant about appearing to be admirable?
