The only feeling after my finishing the novel is that finally I finish it! Besides, the novel made me feel afraid of marriage. Since a clever girl like Isabel even failed herself, how dare I run such a risk! Maybe the author wants to give us some information, that is, marriage can make one lose the independent personality and freedom. And I think I am persuaded by Henry James about this point!
