I often wonder what goes on in the mind of a person who can say that James did a wonderful job describing th very small details. When in fact, the most prominent literay techinque James used was ellipes. he skipped over the narration of events such as the wedding, engagement, etc... the great significance of this is to show that Isabel is lost to the reader.<br>I found this book to be VERY SIMILAR to Picture of Dorian Gray.<br>although this was good, i found to be lost in the numerous characters.
