This novel is the first novel I read from my dabbling of English literature. Its engrossing and harrowing tale leads to my great sympathy for her misery and tragic life of the heroine at the same time my serious thinking about the woe and difficulty the recent oppressed and exploited people all over the world. I think it's a wonderful experience to read the novel and it can give you philosophical muse on life of yours and the others.
