I had to read this book for a research paper. I was looking for a quick read and something that i had never read before. What i found was that the book was definitely not a quick read. I am a quick reader so i hate to admit that it took me longer than usual. In the end it was actually very good despite the constant explanation of the scenery which in fact really bored me. After reading the book i was so frustrated with Tess. She had the most horrible life and was extremely unfortunate. You find yourself wanting to pity her. Well thankfully my life is far better. This book made me more grateful for what i have in my life.
