the mere fact that you double superlative when describing Tess as 'absoloute worst' shows that you are not worthy of this brilliant novel. <br>Tess is an individual in the demanding, patriachal society that only valued a woman for her chastity and virture.<br>How i wish Hardy was still with us, and our lives would be filled with more of his wonderful writing, instead of being stuck with only his published novels!<br>i chose this book for an "individual in 19th century society" assessment at school, what an awesome choice!!
