Fool! Smeryakov is the "supposed" 4th brother. Nonetheless, this is besides the point. Brothers Karamazov was the hardest novel I've read - ever. It was, however, also the most rewarding. Word of advice - do not attempt to read this book a week before a major research paper is due for your AP Lit class! Trust me, I know. Allocate an entire summer.
