I, too, consider Dostoevsky to be a "great prophet of Russia". This book may very well change one's life. I feel that only certain people are at a place in their life that will be addressed by this book. For the others, they may be bored by the book. But, for those people who are really having intellectual doubts and struggles about the relationship between science, religion, good and evil, etc; this book will profoundly touch them. They will wonder with amazement that someone else has gone through the same thoughts that they have. It will inspire one to live a better life--a happier life!

William Faulkner (recipient of a nobel prize) said that this was a book that he read over and over on a periodical basis. I can see why, now.

I feel that not counting the Bible, this has been the most influencial work of literature that I have ever read in my entire life.
