This is one of the best books I have ever read. The most important feature about IDIOT that struck me was the amazing insight into the human nature and chracter that is omnipresent in this novel. The author expresses many of his views about the society and why a person behaves the way he does. The part wher Myshkin describes the fake execution of a prisoner was especailly striking. Also this book like most of the other books does not spoon feed the reader. The reader is asked several questions and it is the imagination of the reader and his understanding of the complexities of this novel that makes the differenc between liking the novel and recognizing it as a masterpiece.
