I agree with you. You must read Ms. Montgomery's journals and you will see how much she was like Anne, Emily and Valancy, yet more complex and even shocking for her time. The Anne stories are a real inspiration to everyone.

I thouroughly enjoy the Anne of Green Gables series more than I can say. <br>Ms. Montgomery has such a way with words that make all her characters come to life. I love her descriptions about nature, as well. They really touched me! Anne Shirley is truly an excellant character and she has been an outstanding roll model for me. I love the simple elegance on Avonlea and Ingelside...they help me connect to a world I never knew.
