I entirely agree with the word 'imperfect' meaning 'not finished'. In my opinion, this book, it lets us readers judge whether the Beauty was defeated by the Time or remained untarnished and immaculate to last forever. The fact that this novel is open-ended makes the participation of the public - that means, of the society, - essential and really important in the process of development of the main ideas of the work. It gives each one the opportunity to interpret and analyze the content in their own way. That's why I'm not sure Oscar Wilde gives some kind of evaluation of Dorian Gray's actions. Of course, such an evaluation can be found 'between the lines', but it's a fundamental part of any work of that kind.
I loved the book. It made me consider many aspects of my own life, many things I had previously thought about, but hadn't paid enough attention to.
