This book is superb. I saw the novel as being centered around the dangers of corruption. Lord Henry was brilliant and 'plays' with Dorian, as a cat does a mouse. Is Henry a sociopath? He is charming, witty, and well-bred, but does he have a conscience? Is Henry a metaphor for the Victorian era ? A world of 'have 'and ' have nots ' with unlimited temptations, protected by a social strata that, like the portrait, protects the players from the outcome of their actions. I would love to write on Henry and his impact on the novel.
