Many times in life people are forced to decide whether beauty or being real is a better thing. Oscar Wilde portraited everyone in the world by creating this novel. Though there are many who would rather be true to themselves, most people would prefer to be beautiful. Everyone comes across the contimplation of this aspect of life. <br><br>When Dorian rejects Sibyl his reactions, though not justified, were a way of allowing his ego to rise above it's natural ability. Everyone wants to feel as if they are greater than another, but no one ever realizes that we are equal. Our appearance does not amount to who we are, and what we are like. <br><br>This novel revealed to me that life is nothing without the beauty of a soul. If you are just a gorgeous person on the inside life is worth while, but if you are a awful person on the inside you are missing out on the greater things in life.<br><br>
