many people while reading this book felt for ethan and mattie and their unspoken love. some people went as far as to say "poor ethan, his life is truely tragic!" but many neglect to look at the story from the point of veiw of other charaters. poor zeena! she married a man she thought she loved and loved her, only to find that 7 years later, he cares more for her cousin than her. of course she's going to attempt to kick mattie out of the house, in all honesty, i would too. zeena is truely the tragic character. not only does her husband no longer lover her, but in the end, she has to nurse his would-be mistess until death.
