This book was a materpiece in two ways: <br><br>1) symbolism. There was sooo much of it, that you had to think about it every other paragraph, for at least a minute. <br><br>2) bluntness. This is how it is; Ethan is Average Joe, with extra loyalty. Zeena is a b#tch. The cat is her spirit. Mattie is the embodyment of youth, and is slightly suicidal. Description of the weather. Sledding. The end.
