This book to me expressed alot of exterior emotions between the main charecter Ethan and his wifes beloved and so trusted cousin Mattie who turns on her and in falling in love with Ethan (which to me is a crime against god and Country )he too returns his infinint love back and they share a secret amonst only the two of them untill his not so dumbfounded wife grows more suspicious in her grieving time of internal pain and iffliction.in the end all turns against Ethan and Mattie in there wrong doing of leaving Zeena to moan in her own endless weeping sorrowful pain.i would definately never take the time to pick abook up of such sorrowful, painful literature again. but nun the less i did like the book as a whole.
