These are my opinions, and as you know opinions are neither right nor wrong.<br>These are the points of view of the writer.<br>To N and the anonymous person who wrote with the subject "worst book ever written," I take time to disagree with those comments. It seems to me that you never took the time to _really_ read and appreciate Gaston Leroux's wonderful magnum opus. For Anon, maybe it's because you were rushed for your project and you were confused. For N, I think "pathetic" was too strong a word to use. You sound so biased. Kindly remember that the Phantom was shown no compassion almost as soon as he was born, and that this story is a mixture of horror, romance, and mystery. I personally think that "The Phantom of the Opera" is a great book and I recommend it. To think my love for this book started because of an interpretative dance competition...ha ha ha! As one final note I would like to say that I find Erik's character my favorite!
