A story that can be applied to any individuals life if he or she has ever struggled with the moralities of living. This book can be hard to understand at times, but the meanings can be understood by all. Hesse guides Siddhartha through a journey of self realization which all who read can benefit from. One can learn how the character of Siddhartha, seeking enlightment, can achieve it. We learn that wisdom can only be obtained through spiritual growth which Siddhartha encounters through his experiences. More importantly we are taught from Hesse that we just need to live life and in time we will understand everything. As quoted from the book knowledge can be communicated, but not wisdom. One can find it, live it, be fortified by it, do wonders through it, but one cannot communicate and teach it. For anyone who seeks to find inner peace or has questions life and its meaning, I highly recommend reading this book.
