The thing that appeals to me the most about Siddhartha is the simple n lucid style in which Hermann dealt with the complex subject of "search for the inner self".One should be also be impressed by the knowledge of Indian philosophy Hermann possesed.The book is an equally easy read both for a tyro n virtuso in the area of philososphy.Quite a nice read.
