Sorry to all you fans that gave this book a kiss but heres the diss. I hated this book it was so annoying Maybe if kamala hadn't died and stayed with siddhartha at the end maybe i would have enjoyed it... maybe....the only character that i liked was Govinda. he was tight he was such a good friend to siddhartha.but siddhartha was just no. he was lame. he was just as happy in the beginning as he was in the end so what was the point of the journey? when either way he was happy the only part where he was miserable was when he became a merchant. and if he didn't go on the journey to find self-knowledge then he would have been happier .but if he was looking for love he found it with Kamala .And He shouldn't have left her pregnant i know that he didn't know that she was pregnant but still he could have taken kamala with him to the river and been happy. now that would have been a worth while journey.But sence it was the self that he was looking for it would have been the same either way.
