I believe that Siddartha was all about sybolism. For example, Gatama's Birtdcage symbolizes Siddartha leaving the Samasara. Another symbol is the potters weel. Basically, Siddhartha is like a lump of clay that it is slowly being formed. Eventually he will be his own beauty and stand on his own. Check out Siddhartha if you havn't already been assigned the book.<br>
