This has to be one of my favorite collection of short stories ever written. I can read about Mowgli and his friends over and over, while his recollections of camp animals and seal adventures are fantastic. Although the treatment of the white man versus the native are at times contradictory, and other elements are not very consistent it is still an excellent read.
