In Heart of Darkness clearly the environment, the characters and the place are only the stage where the real drama is plaied; a dramatic trip inside the essence of human mind. Everyone has inside his part of darkness and sadly the only possibility for men to have a "normal" civilizated life is to lie; if not, the only way is to rise to the condition of Kurtz that is the real truth. Such acceptation implies to overwhelm someone else leaving unleashed finally the immense darkness that is the essence of human soul.<br>As the death saves Kurtz, so only the death can save the truth: but everyone during his mortal life will never know it. But do we need really to know it ? or the truth is only the horror seen by Kurtz at the end?..........<br>I do not know the answer<br><br><br>
