I'd have to day that you need for exciting escapism prevented you from actually enjoying one of the most literally "stacked" novels ever. It not only offers insight into the post-modernist perspective but also reveals much about Conrad himself, and human nature in general...maybe even youself

I agree with you that this is the most boring book. He jumps around so much that you cant concentrate an you have to keep rereading it. yuck.

I will have to say this is one of the worst books i have ever read. it has no appeal to anything but sleep reflexes. this is a very good thing to read if you need a cure for insomnia.
