The book was really hard to get into for me.<br>I had heard about it being about the meat packing industry and was wondering when that stupid wedding was going to be over. After the family really began their life, it was very interesting and hard to put down. Sinclair let everyone know how he truly felt about the world. It was depressing at times and it seemed so unfair how everything went wrong. That's life for you. I think that it was brave for Sinclair to be able to write the truth. The truth will always be revealed. He led the way for the vast improvement of the working conditions of man. I would recommend this book to someone with a strong stomach and an interest in the history of the workingman.
