It has been over a year now since I performed in the School Edited version of Les Miserables. I wasn't even going to audition for it. At the last minute I did...and I have entered a realm that I did not see possible. I have read to book four times now. I own every version of the musical on cd I possibly can, as well as the two movies that I am aware of. Bravo to Victor Hugo for being able to create a masterful story. A tale not of war, struggle, love, or the law. But life. I am sure that every person could find some way to relate to a character in the book. Whether it is the homley Marius, or the young hero Gavroch...it is 1500 pages well spent.
