I have always enjoyed Twain's works. Not only is it a great example of satire on a world that many times could use a little more humor, but it portrays an accurate era of what life was like at one time in the United States. Many people find parts offensive, (especially the word nigger), but they need to remember that at the time it was an accepted part of the language and used by both blacks and whites as a normal part of their vocabulary. To say this book or any book should be banned reminds me of times gone by and I have only one thing to say to anyone who would ban a book because of its content or a difference in philosophy with the writer. Get back to Nazi Germany and Hitler and you'll fit right in becasue that's where those kinds of ideologies began and that's where they belong.
