I have just read 'The Mayor of Casterbridge' and i found it a great book. Some of the language is not very modern and can be quite hard to understand. It also captures the riseing and the falling of a 'Man, Mayor and Churchwarden'. At the same time the book can be quite depressing but well worth it. Nevertheless, i think it was agreat book and would advise anybody interested to read it.
