i'm a under-grad and the book is in my course. what i most admire about the novel is the way in which it attacks the patriarchal system. the ending plays a special role here. though a lot of people may not agree but in my opinion the ending is specially designed to send across a message. bronte satirises the notions of love and marraige throughout the novel and that is one of the strong points of the book.
