THE Irish have been stealing a head start on the Oscars this week thanks to our own Oscar, Wilde that is.
As the rain poured down outside LA's Wiltshire Ebell Theatre on Thursday night, the A-list celebrities poured in for the US-Ireland Alliance's second annual ''Oscar Wilde: Honoring Irish Writing in Film'' party.
While the red carpet outside the Kodak Theatre was being spring-cleaned for that certain award ceremony tomorrow night, a suitably green one was unfurled to welcome the much more relaxed crowd.
