TO celebrate the centenary of Oscar Wilde's death, the Irish Repertory
Theatre is offering a reprise of Michael MacLiammoir's one-person show, The
Importance of Being Oscar, not seen in New York since the author himself
performed it on Broadway in the 1960s, following its successful debut at
Dublin's Gaiety Theatre. (An important personage in Irish theatrical
history, MacLiammoir co-founded Dublin's Gate Theatre).
