Venue blamed for 'Oscar Wilde' closing
LONDON, Oct 24, 2004 (United Press International via COMTEX) -- Former disc jockey turned musical writer, Mike Read, whose musical "Oscar Wilde" closed last week in London after one night, is blaming the venue.
"I should not have allowed it to open at the Shaw Theatre, only after we started rehearsals did I discover that it had no online booking or proper telephone sales facilities," Read told the Sunday Telegraph.
