London, Nov 27 -- Former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill borrowed the lines for one of his most famous speeches from H G Wells, a new research has claimed.
According to The Independent, Cambridge University history lecturer Dr Richard Toye reportedly discovered the phrase "The Gathering Storm" - used by Churchill to describe the rise of Nazi Germany in a Wells-authored book The War of the Worlds, which depicts an attack on Britain by Martians.
