In 2005, Druid Theatre first staged DruidSynge, a cycle of six plays by J.M. Synge, performed by an ensemble cast and directed by Garry Hynes. Wildfire Films recorded these plays, as well as capturing behind-the-scenes footage which explores the motivation for the project. The history of Synge's work in Ireland is examined with two documentaries and a public conversation with Garry Hynes and this ambitious project is beautifully recorded under the screen direction of Ronan Fox.
