A prime candidate for an ambassadorship during the Bush administration, Dr. Prezell R. Robinson announced his resignation after 27 years as president of Saint Augustine's College in Raleigh, NC.

His retirement will take effect on or about December 31st or as soon as a successor has been named. A search committee is headed by Board Chairman Marshall B. Bass.

During the Bush years, Dr. Robinson was appointed to the UN delegation and most recently served as an elected public member of the Foreign Service Board.
