1. Did Orwell write 1984 as a prediction of the state of world government
and society in the year 1984?

Answer: 1984 was not intended to be a predication, and anyone reading it
and deducing that Orwell meant it as such is mistaken; the evidence for this
statement comes from the totality of Orwell's writing. It would be more
accurate to say that Orwell was presenting the world of 1984 as a satiric
statement of what might come to pass, though of course its exact form could
never be predicted, if world society did ...
