Who could be better at conducting the music of Finland's greatest composer than his compatriot CBSO music director Sakari Oramo? Oramo and the CBSO have now recorded all seven of Sibelius' symphonies, arguably one of the greatest symphonic cycles since Beethoven. The music heaves with a Scandinavian sense of nature's awesomeness, and makes us humans, however puny, feel a part of it.
