Last year, Redmoon Theater conquered Herman Melville's great white whale of a novel, Moby Dick.
Now the company is headed for a showdown with yet another monster - the one created by Victor Frankenstein.
Redmoon, which combines live actors, untraditional puppets and extraordinary masks to create mythic dramas and pageants, will open its new production of "Frankenstein" Sunday at the Steppenwolf Studio Theater. And it's a sure bet that the show, a co-creation of artistic directors Blair Thomas and Jim Lasko, will put a unique stamp on Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley's famous 1818 gothic tale.
