The year 2000 saw a new edition of Herman Melville's poetry published by Douglas Robillard, and Lisa Lipkin's edition of Battle Pieces: Civil War Poetry of Herman Melville. Melville's poems have also found wider representation in two important anthologies, Spengemann's Nineteenth-Century American Poetry, and Hollander's two-volume edition with the same title; and most recently John Bryant has edited Melville's Tales, Poems and Other Writings.
