In defense of 'place'

For the past several months, I have been active in the Braeburn Marsh Defenders in opposition to the planned development by Aetna Development at Fabyan Parkway and Randall Road.

I oppose this project for several reasons, which have been well- documented and discussed - protection of the marsh habitat, traffic flow, flood-water retention, etc.

But as important as these reasons are, I have always felt there was a more important, more fundamental reason why we should all be opposed to this development.
