A rare collection of notes by novelist and poet Thomas Hardy will be published in November.

The volume contains information and sources including reports from local newspaper the Dorset County Chronicle, which the author used as the basis for his novels. The book will include all of Hardy's notes and annotations.

It will be released by academic publisher Ashgate Publishing.
