Dame Judi Dench all set to star in BBC costume drama

London, Feb 1 -- Oscar nominee Dame Judi Dench is all set to star in a costume drama based on the novels of Elizabeth Gaskell, which will be aired on BBC1.

She will portray Miss Matty Jenkyns in the five-part serial 'Cranford Chronicles'.

Set in 1842, the drama will offer a blend of three of Gaskell's works - Cranford, Mr Harrison's Confessions and My Lady Ludlow.
