LOS ANGELES -- Internet movie gossip Harry Knowles is crossing over from movie watcher to movie maker as co-producer of an upcoming adventure film.
Knowles, creator of the Web site Ain't It Cool News, is working on a Paramount Pictures adaptation of the Edgar Rice Burroughs pulp classic Princess of Mars that Robert Rodriguez is directing.
Co-producer Jim Jacks said he was reminded of Burroughs' "Martian Tales" books when he read Knowles' 2002 autobiography, which describes the tales as one of the literary world's properties that is most deserving of a big-screen treatment.
