Fire at Dickens' Bleak House.(Charles Dickens' )(Brief article)

Part of Charles Dickens' home Bleak House, in Broadstairs, southern England, was damaged by fire on Sunday (9 April).

According to the BBC the fire service said the fire began in a residential first-floor bedroom and the cause was being investigated.

Furniture and other historic objects were reportedly salvaged from the property by firefighters.

No injuries were reported as a result of the fire. The family currently living at the property was out at the time of the blaze.
