Notes On Oliver Twist

The Adventures of Oliver Twist was first published under the title of
Oliver Twist: or the Parish Boy's Progress, by "Boz" in three volumes in 1838.
It ran as a serial in the pages of Bentley's Miscellany from January 1837 to
April 1839, and was issued in ten monthly parts from January to October 1846.
Dickens was himself editor of Bentley's Miscellany from 1837 to 1839. He had
signed a contract with Richard Bentley, the publisher, for three novels.
