Chapter 50: Mr. Peggotty's Dream Comes True
Months pass and David neither sees Martha again nor hears of any news of
Em'ly. David begins to despair that Em'ly must be dead, but Mr. Peggotty
retains the certain conviction that she is alive and will be found. David's
admiration for the rugged old man increases as he observes his selfless
devotion to the search.
