1. Is Caesar and Cleopatra historically true?

Answer: It is true that in October, 47 B.C., Julius Caesar came to Egypt
in pursuit of Pompey, once his friend, later his enemy, whom he had just
defeated at the battle of Pharsalia. He found that Pompey was already dead.
He stayed for half a year and established Cleopatra firmly as queen of Egypt.
These are the historical facts that George Bernard Shaw uses in his play.
